AUDIO PROJECTS

Here you can find a log of anything audio-related I’ve done, including podcasts, commentaries, radio and spoken word.

In 2020 I began the podcast A Song From the Heart Beats the Devil Every Time, expanded from a proposed book project about cult kids film and television from 1965-1985. The podcast’s name is derived from the 1978 Nelvana Halloween special The Devil and Daniel Mouse, which is the subject of its first episode.

2020 also saw my first sonic collaboration with longtime friend and colleague Sam McKinlay and his noise project THE RITA. Together we released a split cassette through Absurd Exposition called Introduction/Immersion in which I read the story “Spike Heels” from the book Women’s Rites by French dominatrix Catherine Robbe-Grillet  (under her pseudonym Jeanne de Berg).

In addition, I’ve been posting Mixtapes on my Mixcloud channel for several years now, including many tied to various cinematic obsessions.

I also have an upcoming audio project with musician Timothy Fife – but more on that when things are ready to announce.

You can read more about each of these projects in the posts below.
